And, nevertheless, researchers of Nostradamus's creativity are observing quite a lot of interesting and accurate historical coincidences.
Nostradamus appealed in making predictions to planetary schemes. Some researchers believe that celestial bodies have an impact on people's affairs ... But, from the point of view of modern science, this statement is unlikely.
Most critics agree that the works of Nostradamus are only personal speculation and intuitive predictions.
The approach of Nostradamus to the predictions, which brought him so wide popularity, consisted of the following points:
- Do not be so specific that you can see mistakes. To be mysterious and uncertain.
- Write so that the reader believes that the author knows something, even if it is not so. This increases the "aura of mystery" and makes your prophecies "impressive."
- Predict events that are very likely: wars, epidemics, political intrigues, deaths of high-ranking individuals, catastrophes.
- If you make enough predictions, some of them will necessarily be executed.
- And for the sake of increasing one's own authority and trust in yourself, you can insert a few "post-facto prophecies." After a while, gullible people will forget that you did not prophesy, but retold the story. Ignorant ignoramuses will not notice a difference.
