AquariusFebruary 4. Born on this day are rarely adhere to tradition.

Due to the non-standard thinking inherent in these people, they often give the impression of windbags, neglecting their duties - at least, so it seems from the outside.

However, in reality, they are distinguished by an individual approach to doing the work.

Some of those born on February 4 early realize that they understand the world differently from most of those around them, and react to such a discovery in a manner characteristic only for them.

Others, born on this day, strive to be idols, standards in behavior, but cannot cope with this role.

The most successful of them usually bribe with their frankness, gladly accept the slightest signs of approval from the enthusiastic audience.

February 4: or "Facebook" birthday, Fighting Cancer Day

In 2004, an American student of the Department of Psychology at Harvard University, Mark Zuckerberg launched the "The Facebook" site.

During first day, 1,200 Harvard students enrolled in the social network, and a month later, more than half of all students in the US were registered on Facebook.

Now this is the largest social network in the world, and in June 2017  the number of its users exceeded 2 billions.

Fighting Cancer Day

World Fighting Cancer Day reminds of how dangerous and now common cancers are.

Cancer is the generic term for more than 100 diseases that can affect any part of the body.

One of the characteristic signs of cancer is the rapid formation of abnormal cells that grow beyond their normal boundaries and are able to penetrate into nearby parts of the body and spread to other organs. This process is called metastasis. Metastases are the leading cause of cancer death.

The most common types of cancer in the world (in descending order of the number of deaths in the world): among men - lung, stomach, liver, colon, esophagus and prostate cancer; among women, there is cancer of the breast, lung, stomach, colon and cervix.

In 2016-2018, World Fighting Cancer Day is held under the slogan “We can. I can". On this day, it is proposed to take collective or individual actions to alleviate the burden of cancer.

More than 30% of cancer deaths can be prevented by preventing or changing major risk factors, including:
  • tobacco use;
  • overweight or obesity;
  • unhealthy food by eating insufficient quantities of fruits and vegetables;
  • lack of physical activity;
  • alcohol consumption;
  • HPV and HBV infection;
  • urban air pollution;
  • smoke from the premises as a result of the use of solid fuels in homes.

Tobacco use is the single most significant risk factor for cancer, leading to 22% of global cancer deaths and 71% of global lung cancer deaths. In many low-income countries, up to 20% of cancer deaths result from HBV and HPV infection.
