GeminiMay 26Born on this day have an innate charm.

Firmly adhering to their own opinion, they are always very responsible in their judgments, and at first glance it may seem that these people support traditional conservative values. However, with their lives, in which there is a place for strange and even extravagant actions, they seem to refute their own statements.

The impulsive nature of those born on this day almost thirsts for cruel adventures that require huge sacrifices.

A strong desire to free oneself from all fetters in order to be able to act independently can come into conflict with generally accepted norms of behavior. In this sense, those born on May 26 balance on the brink of what is permissible, sometimes making dangerous maneuvers bordering on criminal activity.

However, this only enhances their popularity in society.

They can even play the role of forbidden leaders. This desire to express one's individuality at any cost is often based on a purely psychological reason: an overly organized childhood.

The foundation of the first Volkswagen plant was laid

The first Volkswagen car

The first Volkswagen car

The history of the concern Volkswagen began in 1934. When Hitler, who had just come to power in Germany, put forward a demand - to develop for the German people a small, reliable and cheap car. This was entrusted to F.Porsche - the famous German designer, who in a couple of years created several prototypes of the first "people's car" ("volk" - people, "wagen" - car). One of them was approved by the Führer.

This first Volkswagen turned out to be successful, and talked about it, numerous publications appeared, in 1938, in a New York Times article Volkswagen was dubbed as a "beetle." This nickname became so established that it became a visiting card of the car.

For mass production of this "national car" on May 26, 1938 in the German city of Wolfsburg, the construction of the largest car factory "Volkswagen" began. Hitler personally laid the first stone for the factory new building, and soon the company "Volkswagenwerk GmbH" was established. But the impending war prevented the production of the "Beetle". They were made only a dozen, one of which was used with pleasure by the Fuhrer himself.

During the Second World War, the construction of Volkswagen was suspended, and the plant was redesigned for the production of military products. After the end of the war, the enterprise fell under the control of the British, in whose zone of occupation was Wolfsburg. They gave the plant an order for 20,000 cars, and in 1947 the "Beetle" was exhibited in Hanover and attracted much attention. Soon the plant received orders for a car from many European countries.

In 1948, the leadership of the concern was replaced by G.Nordhoff, and the team included graduates with international experience in car factories and who could think outside the box. With their arrival, the car was improved, a network of car-care centers was established, work was constantly conducted with Western customers, a network of subsidiaries abroad was opened. All this helped to create a strong sales network of cars and become the largest German industrial concern with millions of annual revenues.

In 1960, Volkswagen was reorganized into a joint stock company, and its "Beetle" literally flooded the world. But the decline in sales in the automotive market forced the company to pay attention to developments, and in the 1970s there were fundamentally new models, the most successful of which was "Golf". It was this model that marked a new stage of competition in the production of a class of compact cars that became known as the "golf class".

At present, the German automobile concern Volkswagen is one of the largest in terms of sales in the world, has its own factories in 15 countries and produces cars under the most famous brands, including Audi, SEAT, Skoda, Volkswagen, Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Bugatti and Lamborghini. In addition to passenger cars, the plant also produces trucks and minibuses. The headquarters is in Wolfsburg.

Today every fifth new car sold in Western Europe falls on the Volkswagen Group, which is not accidental. The Concern offers a whole series of modern cars, distinguished by German reliability, quality, which embodies the latest achievements in the field of automotive production, making history what yesterday was a dream.
