VirgoSeptember 15Born on this day are tend to find a burden for themselves, modest or, conversely, too heavy, as it might seem at first glance, and then fully explore their capabilities.

They have an unusual ability to specialize, improve in one area and at the same time possess surprisingly complete information, the boundaries of which are very difficult to establish.

Whatever role those born on this day play, they strive for mastery in their work without pressure and prodding. However, their prowess is about light and flexible control, not the hard perfectionism so often associated with the Virgo sign.

September 15, 1830 in England, was the grand opening of the first long-distance railway line on steam traction: from Liverpool to Manchester. At 11.20 hours from Liverpool on the 50-kilometer highway set off eight railway cars.

Joint-stock company "Liverpool & Manchester Railroad Company" appointed the technical project manager George Stephenson, the inventor of a locomotive that not only designed cars that won the right to service a new road in an open tender, but also laid the highway itself, according to the "load-carrying capacity and endurance" recognized by connoisseurs-a masterpiece of road construction.

When designing the Liverpool-Manchester line, Stephenson solved the complex tasks of railway technology: several complex excavations, embankments, bridges and viaducts designed to smooth out the longitudinal profile of the track were laid, iron rails on stone supports used to increase the speed of the locomotive.

The width of track, selected Stephenson, in all countries is still considered as a standard.

Trains speeded up to 30 km / h, and the passengers were delighted.

The opening ceremony of the railway became a very important event on the national scale. It was attended by many members of the government, including the Prime Minister the Duke of Wellington.

From this day in the UK, and then throughout the world began a turbulent era of the development of the network of railways.
